Osho-Do is a school for practical self-defense. It's not a technical training where you learn thousands of moves and dances, breaking bricks and doing flip-overs. There is a full integration with all our work. The people who come and train with us learn to say NO to abuse, not only on a physical level, but on an emotional level. That's what makes our Martial Arts people very special.
In our society, we don't get an emotional education. We are educated to be intellectual. In normal Martial Arts, you have to deny your emotions, you have to put them aside and operate from a centered position.
It is important to combine Martial Arts with emotional release; that will make it human. The way to be human is to be emotionally involved.
You learn how to say NO before you even get into a fighting situation. You learn to be aware of what you are feeling, so that you can avoid the situation. You learn to see how YOU are creating it, and you learn to be adult enough to drop it before you even have to start the fight with someone.
Our Street Awareness Program, SAP, is the basis. It is made for practical self-defense. We would be very happy to know that people can travel around the world and know the ABCs of self-defense.
The Humaniversity College of Martial Arts is a meeting point for experts in Martial Arts.

Our symbol is a snake and a rose meeting each other. They both have absolute power. The rose is beautiful and silent, and the snake is fast and deadly. The center of our symbol is the Aum. The sound of Aum goes with the colour gray, because it is the sound of oneness.
Our beautiful dojan has been renovated to include creative arts performances with professional stage lighting and a theatre curtain. Our Martial Arts program features several visiting guest teachers, like Jan Sjoerd Dotinga, Wim Boersma, Joop Talens and Gerard van Bekkum. We have also been running successful kids and teenage classes and have included T'ai Chi in addition to the regular Osho-Do and Archery.
